One of the great joys of our work is meeting vocal soloists in different projects and accompanying each other on this adventure that is making music. For this reason –and many others– we are especially delighted to take part in the concert on July 7th at the Palau de la Música Catalana with the Catalan soprano Serena Sáenz, who sang the title role in the oratorio La Giuditta (Scarlatti) in April 2023 during the first Easter edition of the Peralada Festival.
Serena is a very young singer but already has a solid career and remarkable international success. During the recital in Barcelona, dedicated to the patrons and benefactors of the Palau and included in the Palau Grans Veus cycle, she will perform arias by Vivaldi, Rameau and Händel, including some of the greatest Baroque highlights such as the celebrated “Piangerò la sorte mia” (Giulio Cesare in Egitto) and “Sposa son disprezzata” (Bajazet). As for us, we have a few musical treats in store, such as “Air pour les Sauvages” from Les Indes Galantes. We have yet to meet anyone who can resist dancing to it!
Don’t miss the chance to experience the splendid voice of Serena Sáenz, our orchestra, and our conductor, Dani Espasa, in a spectacular and effortlessly engaging repertoire. Fireworks, drama, theatricality, extreme passions, and a moment of spirituality with “Tu del ciel ministro eletto”, the ethereal aria of Bellezza in Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno. We have prepared this recital for you to enjoy as much as we are sure we will.
